Ijaw Nation Urge President Jonathan To Run For Re-Election

The people of Ijaw have urged President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to run for re-election come 2015.

The stakeholders of the ethnic group made this declaration on Sunday, March 2, 2014 after the sixth Ijaw Youth Council Inauguration, they insist the President must run for a second term.

In a meeting to inaugurate the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), the people of Ijaw pledged to unite in support of Jonathan.

The leadership of the Ijaw people led by Chief Edwin Clark, former Minister of Police Affairs, Broderick Bozimo and Bayelsa State Governor, Chief Seriake Dickson who was represented by the Commissioner for Culture and Ijaw National Affairs, Dr. Felix Tuodolor, urged President Jonathan to contest for the seat of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Clark, represented by Bozimo, urged the people of Ijaw to unite and support President Jonathan in his re-election.
