Iraq’s Ministry of Human Rights has confirmed that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has reportedly executed not less than 150 women who have refused to marry its militants in the Iraqi western area of al-Anbar,
In a statement released on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, ISIS militants attacked a number of homes in Fallujah and buried the victims in mass grave in one of the cities.
“At least 150 females, including pregnant women, were executed in Fallujah by a militant named Abu Anas al-Libi after they refused to accept jihad marriage, Jihad Al Nikah (Sexual Jihad)” the statement said.
“Many families were also forced to migrate from the province’s northern town of al-Wafa after hundreds of residents received death threats.”
The statement also holds that not less than 10 children had died and were buried in a desert after ISIS took away their families from the city of Haditha in Anbar, The children reportedly died of thirst and hunger.
Jihad al-Nikah was first raised in September, 2014 when a number of Sunni girls in Iraq and Syria allegedly travelled to marry Takfiri militants, as some Islamic movement frowned against the idea.
