A suicide bomber has reportedly attacked the capital city of Gombe killing two on Sunday, June 8, 2014.
The bomb reportedly went off prematurely before the suicide bomber, a female, reached her destination.
According to reports, those who died in the blast were a soldier and the suicide bomber who “scattered” in the blast.
A security source said: “The explosion occurred at about 11am along Military Quarter Guard along Biu Road in Gombe. The woman had the explosive in her bag, but the thing went off prematurely. She was scattered by the explosion. Unluckily, she got a soldier as well.”
Gombe State has been under terrorist attacks in the past, this is the first in recent times and first carried out by a woman.
