The Nigerian Army has recaptured Chibok town from terrorists who invaded the town last week.
The 7 Division of Nigerian Army disclosed this Sunday, November 16, 2014 in a statement issued to newsmen by Sani Usman, deputy director, Army Public Relations Unit.
The statement said that the military was still carrying out a mopping-up exercise and that Chibok was fully secured.
The town of Chibok has been in the news since April 14, 2014 when Boko Haram militants kidnapped 276 female students from Government Secondary School in the town.
Only 57 of schoolgirls have escaped from the terrorists. Their kidnapping inspired a global movement against Boko Haram.
