Kwara State Government Dissolves Executive Council

Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed

Governor Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed of the Kwara State Governemtn has dismissed his state’s executive council cabinet with an immediate effect.

Alhaji Isiaka Gold who is the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) had disclosed this in his statement to journalists in the State’s capital, Ilorin.

The top executives who were retrenched include, all the Special Adviserss, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, Liason Officers and Youth Employment Co-ordinators, all boards of government owned companies, commissions, parastatals and organisations other than those of statutory status.

The state’s SSG stated that all commissioners must have to hand over every government properties in their possession to their permanent secretaries, while heads of other MDAs must hand over to the most senior officer in their establishment.

Governor Ahmed in the statement expressed gratitude towards all the affected office heads for their immeasurable contributions to the success of his administration in the past four years and wishes them success towards their future endeavours.
