A Letter To Nigerian Youth: Say NO To Elections Based On Military Constitution

Must read

Dear Nigerian Youth,

I come to you in peace. Irrespective of the political party you belong to, please lend me your eyes.

I want to ask you, have you read the Nigerian Constitution like you would read that employment letter or business agreement handed to you?

I want to ask you, what do you think makes those you voted into power suddenly turn against you, leaving you helpless?

I implore you my fellow Nigerian youth, get a copy of the Nigerian constitution, download it online, read it like you would read a document containing your welfare and delivered into your hands to be signed, and you will understand that we are our own problems. We have all the time empowered military rule in the name of democracy. It’s a pity that I’m just realizing this but it is not late for you and I to act.

Constitutional REFORM is what every Nigerian youth should be asking for at this time and not defending any political party or politician.

I know that you love Nigeria and want to see the dividends of democracy get to you, but little did you know that the constitution that guides this country made no provisions for such. It’s a constitution that has left us where we have always been, while pretending to be moving us forward.

Why go to the poll to vote in a civilian, man or woman, who would turn out to be a dictator, going by the powers conferred on the person by the Constitution?

We must stand up, and say no to future and further elections in this country if we truly want to be the leaders of tomorrow.

Let us remember Mandela and all those who saw their sorry tomorrow and fought it by the day to gain their free tomorrow.

Arise oh Nigerian youth, demand for 100% DEMOCRACY, it is the best service you could give to the generation unborn.

Whether you are for disintegration or moving forward of this Country, truth is, you will always get what you show that you deserve, wherever you are.

This is not the time for politics, rather, it’s a time for REFORM. A reform that will give us a DEMOCRATIC CONSTITUTION.

No one in this country loves you. Not the Politicians and not even the Judiciary because, they all turned blind eyes to the slavery the Military constitution has put you and I in, just because they are enjoying immunity.
