Liverpool parted company with Brendan Rodgers on Sunday, October 4, 2015. Since then, the search for a new manager for the Reds has begun and it appears progress is being made.
Former Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti and former Borussia Dortmund manager, Jürgen Klopp have been considered favourites to land the Anfield job.
It appears Liverpool has stuck to Klopp as reports have it that the club is in advanced talks with the 48-year-old German. According to Goal, the former Dortmund manager is expected to sign a three-year-old with the Merseyside club in the coming days.
This is not the first time Liverpool is showing interest in Klopp. In 2014, we reported that the German manager was to replace Rodgers at Liverpool. One year later, that change of guard appears to be coming to fruition.
Sacked Rodgers was under contract till 2018 and is entitled to £10 million compensation from Liverpool.
