A man was filmed apparently touching his 4-year-old daughter inappropriately inside a busy restaurant.
One waitress secretly filmed the scene through a window in the door and shared it online with the caption: “Looking for Paedophile”.
Social media users say the unidentified waitress was sacked after she uploaded the one-minute footage which was taken in the “El Teapaneco” restaurant in the city of Villahermosa, in the south-east Mexican state of Tabasco.
The images show a table of five people, including two women and one man at the end of the table with a little girl of around 4 to 5 years sat on his knee.
The man identified as Juan Vicente Hernandez Leon appeared to have dipped his hand inside the little girl’s underpants while he was seated with his female companions on the table.
He moved his arm up and down which stirred the suspicion that he was rubbing the girl’s private parts while her entire right leg was exposed as she leaned against the table playing a game.
Leon was arrested by the police in connection with the video while he was trying to get on a bus to Mexico City insisted that he was only touching her leg and was later released due to legal formalities.
However the authorities have now issued a warrant for his arrest on the charges of paedophilia.
The little daughter has been taken into police custody and has undergone a psychological examination accompanied by her mother.
