Must read

A step-mother, Aminat Akanni, who allegedly drowned a 4-year-old girl and abducted her 7-year-old brother in Lagos State has been arrested by the police.

Lateef Mubo, 7, and his sister Nosifat Mubo, 4, were sent on an errand to buy on October 3, 2014 by their father, husband to the accused. The children never returned home, according to reports.

Moshood Mubo, the father of the two children believes that his children were abducted and that their step-mother, his second wife, is “the devil” who is responsible for his missing children. He lives at 305 Church Street, Lagos Island and he says that upon realising his children were missing, he and symphatisers searched for them in the area and failed to find them.

Mubo who is a husband of two women, says he reported the matter to the Adeniji Adele police station. An eye-witness told Leadership that Mubo wailed as he laid the complain at the police station.

Akanni was arrested at Alakara bus stop, Orile, in Lagos and with her was the seven-year-old Mubo.
