The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has hailed incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan and president-elect General Muhammadu Buhari for their peaceful and cooperative demeanor in the aftermath of the Saturday, March 28, 2015 presidential election.
Speaking via a statement issued by its President, Augustine Alegeh (SAN), the NBA expressed optimism that the maturity displayed by the pair would be carried into the transition period.
He said: “The Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, wishes to commend the President and President-elect for a cooperative and stimulating transition period.
“It is hoped that the maturity that has charac-terized their relationship will continue during the transition period.
“We also call on all their supporters to emulate the exemplary behaviour of the two statesmen, who are both inspired by the call to serve the good people of Nigeria in an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity.”
