Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu state on Wednesday swore in a new acting president of the Enugu State Customary Court of Appeal, Justice George Nnamani, with a charge to him to apply dignity, integrity and total commitment to the sensitive job.
Governor Ugwuanyi who spoke after the swearing-in ceremony at the Government House, Enugu, noted that the exercise was in accordance with the provisions of Section 281 (5) of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria as amended in order not to create a vacuum in that office.
He thanked the immediate past acting President of the Court, Justice Christopher Osita Onyia for his service and congratulated Justice Nnamani on his appointment as the acting President of the court for three months with effect from the day of his swearing-in.
