A civil society group under the aegis of the Coalition of Civil Society Group (CCSG) on Monday June 22nd 2015 took to the street of Abuja to protest the report of the Amnesty International against the Nigerian military.
According to reports the group started the protest at about 9am, Proceeding from the Catholic junction AYA to the UN office.
The president of the group EtukBassey Williams, who spoke to news men said their intentions were to register its displeasure against AI report which discredited ‘our military’.He described the report as vindictive, lacking in merit and an international conspiracy against the people of Nigeria.
He said the report was an some Muslim elites in the north, who are sympathetic to the Boko Haram cause to sabotage the county’s efforts against insurgency
