PDP Spokesperson Election: Deji Adeyanju Thanks Supporters, Friends, And Party Leaders

Must read

[dropcap]I[/dropcap] would like to thank all members, stakeholders, leaders and elders of our great party, the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, who made it to Port Harcourt, Rivers State for our National Convention. It was humbling to see that the followership and love for our party has not waned, and is in fact as strong as ever.

I salute the courage and exemplary leadership displayed by the leaders and elders of our party in the face of attempts to disrupt the convention by state forces on behalf of those who seek to destroy our party from within and without. While we may have not achieved the aim of electing a new National Working Committee, we were able to display to the world that our party operates within the confines of respect for the rule of law, and possesses the ability to withstand storms and turbulent times.

I was personally humbled by the level of support given to me in pursuit of my ambitions to become the National Publicity Secretary of our great party. The support given to me by well-wishers, party leaders and delegates – across generations, genders and creed – is evidence of our party’s belief in the diligence and dedication of its young people and their ability to participate in the rebuilding of our party.

I remain committed to the achievement of the publicity objectives of our party as outlined in my P.O.C. Agenda (Perception! Opposition!! Campaign!!!). I remain committed to the objective of giving the party voice, helping the party tell its story, and rejecting the false and negative myths about the party we all love that have gone unchallenged for far too long. I thank my friends across the world who donated to my campaign organization and the army of young faithful friends on social media who supported and encouraged me daily.

I also want to thank my governor, Ibrahim Wada, my father our former governor Ibrahim Idris (Ibro), my deputy governor, Yomi Awoniyi, Prince Shola Akonmode my father, former SSG of our state, Musa Ahmodu, my state chairman and all members of Kogi State PDP for your support.

As you arrive your homes, I pray the good Lord keeps you well in His love and presence. I pray that He strengthens you through these tough times. I pray that He gives you the courage to stand in the face of tyranny and remain committed to the objectives and goals of our great party.

God bless us you all.

Signed

Deji Adeyanju
