Deadly Dispute: Lagos Man Stabs Neighbour Over Parking Space

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a 41-year-old man, Tolulope Olowu, for allegedly stabbing his 33-year-old neighbour, Pablo, to death during a dispute over a car parking space.

Police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident to journalists on Sunday, April 23, 2023.

The deadly confrontation occurred around 10:00 p.m. on Saturday at the First Unity Estate in the Badore area of Ajah. The case was subsequently reported to the Langbasa Police Division at around 2:00 a.m. on Sunday.

Tolulope Olowu and the victim, Pablo, both lived on Gbadamosi Street within the estate. The altercation began over parking a vehicle on the street, which escalated when Olowu allegedly stabbed Pablo in the stomach with a knife, causing his instant death.

Detective teams from the Langbasa Police Division visited the scene to collect evidence and photograph the crime scene.

The victim’s body has been transported to the IDH Morgue in Yaba for an autopsy. Olowu has been arrested and evidence from the crime scene has been secured as the investigation continues.
