Trigger-Happy Policeman Kills Father Of 2 In Aba

A man identified as Ikeokwu Onyemachi, was on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 killed by a policeman attached to Eziama Police Division during an attempt to seize his motorcycle at Ogbor Hill, Aba, Abia State.

The deceased  father of two was on his way home with his friend, Okike, an indigene of Abala community in Obingwa council area of the state after they had gone to deposit the body of one Pa Okike at Group Medical Practice, GMP, mortuary near Azuka Police Division.

The killer policeman and his colleagues, who were in an ash-coloured Peugeot 504, attempted to seize their motorcycle, according to Vanguard.

The deceased who was a businessman in Port Harcourt and his friend tried to explain to the Police team that they just deposited the corpse of Okike’s father at the mortuary, but rather than listen, the police shot him on the forehead.

The killer cop who is yet to be identified was said to have fled the scene with the team immediately while Onyemachi was rushed to the Abia State Teaching Hospital, ABSUTH, where he was confirmed dead.

The Abia State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ezekiel Onyeke, confirmed the incident, adding that State Commissioner of Police, Habila Joshak, had directed the arrest of the killer policeman.
