A pregnant woman in Chicago is in big trouble after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend. The story being told by prosecutors is that the woman took the man’s life for not buying her a gift at the mall.
The 24-year old woman, named Miata Phelan, went after her boyfriend Larry Martin on April 30th. After she stabbed the man, her words were nearly as hurtful as her actions.
“This is what you get for messing with me. I hope you die mother f—-r,” she said as her boyfriend was bleeding.
The woman’s anger came after the family took a trip to the mall. The man bought gifts for his 8-year old son and 25-year old cousin, but not for Phelan. That’s when the pregnant woman apparently lost it and took her boyfriend’s life, according to Assistant State Attorney Glen Runk.
The woman was attacking the man in the car on the way home, nearly causing an accident. She then kicked him out of the car and drove away, forcing Martin, his son and their cousin to have to walk home.
“I’m gonna die, but I love you,’” the dad said to his son as his last words.
Martin’s son was the key witness to the stabbing. The man collapsed on the sidewalk and died shortly afterward at the Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
The woman is being charged with first-degree murder with her bail set at $1 million dollars.
