I’ve Received N54 Million Donations For My Campaign – Gen. Buhari

The All Progressive Congress, APC’s presidential candidate, Gen Muhammadu Buhari, has said he has only received about N54million in donations from Nigerians to support his campaign in the 2015 elections.

Speaking in Abuja on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 Gen Buhari said that he is guided by the idea from how President Barrack Obama funded his presidential campaign in the United States, through grassroots’ donations and organizations’ supports.

He said that he believes the idea of getting small donations from common Nigerians and volunteers would encourage volunteers to support his mission and give him political independence that will promote uninfluenced policy and decision making.

Recall that the APC’s presidential aspirant had stated that he borrowed N27 million to purchase his party nomination from for the 2015 presidential election.
