A 50-year-old widow, Yar’Baba Yusuf Babangida, slumped and died on Saturday, Apil 11, 2015 while on a queue awaiting her turn to cast her vote in Kastina State.
The sad incident occurred at Kofar gidan Hamisu polling unit of Makera ward in Funtua Local Government Area of the state, Leadership reports.
The woman said to be hypertensive was immediately rushed to Funtua General Hospital where medical officials confirmed her dead on arrival.
One of the members of the rescue team whose identity was not disclosed said, “We were told that she had already died even before we rushed her to the hospital.”
