With the invasion of Akwa Ibom State Government House otherwise known as Hilltop Mansion by 48 well armed men of the Directorate of State Security led by President Buhari kinsman Lawal Daura, the DSS has a case to answer.
The President must prove to the world that he is not condoning impunity in the country by allowing federal agents to terrorize the seat of a democratically elected government in an opposition state.
The action by DSS for breaking into the Presidential and VIP Lounge is an afront to democracy and should be probe accordingly. I hereby call on the National Assembly to quickly summon the DG of DSS, Mr. Lawal Daura to answer question on why such a Gestapo action in a peaceful state of Akwa Ibom while terrorist prone states of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa are not interrupted by the same agent. This case must not be swept under the carpet. The DSS must tell the whole world why such a raid in the seat of a democratically elected government. It is a slap on our sensibility and it must be pursued to a logical conclusion. If need be, the case will land in a court to determine the veracity of such act by men who suppose to act in the best interest of the state.
