When Moses spoke to the Israelites about the Promised Land, he said, “For the land which you go to possess is not like the land of Egypt from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and watered it by foot, as a vegetable garden; but the land which you cross over to possess is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks water from the rain of heaven, a land for which the Lord your God cares; the eyes of the Lord your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year.”
Here’s the point: when God cares about a thing, His eyes, His mind, His attention is always on it! Moses said, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year. Now, Peter, quoting Psalms 34, told us that God’s eyes are always on us, and that His ears are always open to hear our prayers! In other words, God cares about us, and from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year, His attention is always on us; we are always on His mind! Hallelujah!
What’s the implication of that? It means that when you seek Him, He will always hear you; it means that you will never be put to shame; it means that He will always deliver you from all trouble; it means that the angels will always protect you; it means that He will always provide for you; and that God is always with you – wherever you are and at all times! The Bible says that He guards all our bones, not one is broken. Hallelujah!
