People have already began to prophesy about the new year; and they are predicting doom, deaths and all sorts. Whether what they have said will come to pass is not the focus of this devotional, I just want to let you know that your case is different!
Understand that the world is messed up; and it is under the control of Satan who’s purpose is to kill, steal and destroy. So stop expecting that the world will become a paradise! As a child of God, take your eyes off the things happening in the world, because you are not subject to the world. You were transferred from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of Christ. Haven’t you read about the Israelites in Egypt? There was suffering in Egypt but the children of God were having a swell time!
Brothers and sisters, next year is going to be a fantastic year for us and I have no doubt about it! Remain steadfast and unmovable; serve God with gladness, and put the kingdom first in all you do. Here’s what will happen: you will become greater, more prosperous and more successful. Why? Because your path is as the sun that shines brighter and brighter! Hallelujah!!!
