“And when people escape from the wickedness of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again, they are worse off than before.” – 2 Peter 2:20 NLT
Jesus said, “When an evil spirit leaves a person, it goes into the desert, searching for rest. But when it finds none, it says, ‘I will return to the person I came from.’ So it returns and finds that its former home is all swept and in order. Then the spirit finds seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they all enter the person and live there. And so that person is worse off than before.”
Brothers and sisters, what God has delivered you from, don’t go back to it. That’s an invitation for disaster.
We shouldn’t as Christians take pleasure in sinning and living waywardly; listen guys, there’s no justification in the world for that. We are either Christians (Christlike) or we are not; we are either living holily or we are not; no middle grounds! It’s dogs that return to their vomit, and washed pigs to the mud. We are neither dogs nor pigs, therefore let us live righteously in this world. Yes, we can. Amen.
