Spirit and Life Devotional is a daily publication by Pastor Chinaemerem Ibezim, senior pastor of Able Ministers Chapel, a church based in Calabar, Cross River State.
“Give your complete attention to these matters. Throw yourself into your tasks so that everyone will see your progress.” – 1 Timothy 4:15
The key word here is commitment. To make progress in whatever you do you must be committed to it. That’s basically what Apostle Paul said to Timothy.
If it’s so important to you, then you must be willing to be one hundred percent committed to it. In the definition of commitment, it says that it is an obligation that restricts freedom of action. In other words, when you are committed to something you don’t permit distractions; you are fully engaged in it. And that’s exactly what the apostles did: instead of overseeing the serving of food in the church they delegated the responsibility to seven chosen men, and remained committed to prayer and the ministry of the word.
My prayer for you this year is that you will do well and achieve great success. As you do what you’re supposed to do, God will give you the grace to excel and prosper. Amen.
