I Peter 5:5 NKJV “Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”
If God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble, then I want to be humble for the rest of my life!
In the church, and everywhere really, you’ve got to forget about how important or revered you are; forget about the number of high tables you’ve sat on, forget that you are a friend of Mr. President and CEOs of multinational organisations; forget about your qualifications, forget about the number of countries you’ve been to, or how many people report to you at work, forget about what you possess, and the family you come from. Forget about how expensive what you are putting on too. Never be too big to relate with other brethren, to work with them, or to do whatever you are asked to do, even if they smell, and even if they don’t give you your due respect. See God and not them!
These verses help me, Romans 12:3, 16 KJVA “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.”
