God gives new mercies every single day! That’s why you should always seek mercy every day. If there’s mercy for every day then you can’t be satisfied with the mercies of yesterday.
Mercy is obtained by us. In other words, even though mercy is available – the Bible says that God is rich in mercy – it is our duty to collect our own share! People expect mercy not realizing that they should go for it. That’s what the Bible says: “Let us, therefore, come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16
If there’s mercy for every new day, there’s definitely mercy for every new year because every year comprises of days, weeks and months. At the beginning of the year, we should obtain the mercies of the year. Don’t just start the year like that, go boldly to the throne of grace and obtain mercy.
