An angel asked Cornelius to send for Peter to preach the gospel unto him. Why didn’t the angel just preach to Cornelius? Why did they have to send for Peter? The answer is that it’s our duty to preach the gospel; not angels.
Remember the story of the rich man and Lazarus? The rich man wanted dead Lazarus to preach to his brothers; Abraham declined his request, telling him that there were people alive who could preach the gospel to them.
Brothers and sisters, neither angels or dead saints will preach the gospel to sinners, it’s only us who can. Romans 10:14 says, “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” People’s salvation depends on us! We mustn’t keep quiet; let’s fulfill our ministry of reconciliation. God bless you as you do. Amen.
