Ephesians 6:10 says to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. In other words, it is our responsibility to be strong. And how do we become strong? By the things we do.
The young men John wrote to had the word of God in them. And because they had the word in them they were able to overcome the evil one just as Jesus overcame the devil when he tempted Him; Jesus used the word and the Bible says that the devil left Him alone. So many Christians are victims because they are weak!
We don’t become strong by merely attending church, no, we become strong by feeding ourselves with the word. Acts 20:32 says that the word of God is able to build us up. The word of God is able to make us strong, the word of God is able to keep us from falling, the word of God makes us overcomers! No wonder Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly.”
Become full of the word! Take in so much word that it overflows through your mouth and is displayed through your actions! Become a word man! The word of God is the sword of the Spirit!
