APC Losing Senate President Seat May Be Sacrificial Change – Oyegun

Must read

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) John Odigie-Oyegun has noted the possibility of the ruling party losing the Senate President seat to the opposition (PDP).

Oyegun revealed that the possible removal of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, might be a sacrifical change.

In a recent interview with Premium Times, Oyegun said even though he knows his party won’t lose the position, losing it might as well be a sacrifice for change.

Oyegun said: “We don’t take anything for granted. As they (PDP) are planning, we are also planning. The situation is under control. The whole situation is unfortunate but it is real.”

“Well, I don’t think we will lose that position. But sometimes, for change to take place, there is price you have to pay. So losing the position may be sacrifice for change.”

This is considering that if the Senate President is ousted, his deputy, Senator Ekweremmadu of the PDP takes over.
