The incumbent Speaker, House of Representatives,Aminu Waziri Tambuwal who contested for the governorship post in Sokoto State under the All Progressive Congress has emerged the winner in the just concluded polls.
The State Returning Officer, Professor Abubakar Abdullahi Bagudu made the declaration at the Sultan Maccido Institute of Qua’ranic and General Studies, of the state.
According to him, a total of 958, 736 votes were cast with 926, 682 valid and 320, 54 were invalid.
