JUST IN: Security Operatives Allegedly Shoot At Residents At COVID-19 Palliative Warehouse In Abuja

Tension and apprehension on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, enveloped Gwagwalada Council Area of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, following attempts by residentss to continue looting of Warehouses.

Reports in parts of the town indicate that all is not well as security operatives battled with residents, shooting to disperse them from locations of warehouses for COVID 19 palliatives.

The operatives were seen shooting sporadically to disperse residents who had gathered as early as 7am in and around the warehouse looted on Monday, and another one suspected to be located near the Nigeria Customs Service Command Training College, Gwagwalada.

It was gathered that attempts by residents to force their way into the warehouse were resisted by security operatives, leading to clashes which resulted in people running for their lives.

The residents who were later joined by residents carted away relief materials ranging from bags of rice, cartons of indomie noodles, spaghetti, Macaroni, bags of Urea fertilizer, Indorama products, brand new motorbikes, grinding machines, bags of salt, bags of Sugar, and cartoons of soaps, among others.
