Bola Tinubu’s Most Trusted Bodyguard Dies

Lati Raheem, the chief security officer to Bola Tinubu, a national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC passed away in the early hours of Friday, April 24, 2020. He was the most trusted aide of Bola Tinubu, former governor of Lagos State and national leader of the All Progressives Congress political party.

Bola Tinubu said he was shocked at Raheem’s death. Mr. Raheem first came to work for Tinubu in 1999 during his governorship election, and at the time was a corporal in the police force. He subsequently rose to the level of Assistant Superintendent of Police before his passing.

The late Mr. Lati Raheem was sick briefly and hospitalized. He had high blood pressure and diabetes. Tinubu has commiserated with the family of Raheem. He described Raheem as a decent man.

Mr. Raheem was buried on Friday, April 24, 2020, in accordance with Muslim rites.
