Three sisters were reportedly burnt to death as fire rocked some shops in the early hours of Friday, July 31, 2015 in the Mechanic Village area of Oke Afa, Isolo, Lagos State.

It was gathered that the deceased siblings whose names were not ascertained were aged 5, 7 and 12 years old respectively.

Prior to the incident, the girls were said to have been locked in a shop by their guardians which made it difficult for them to escape when the fire accident rocked the building, according to Daily Post.

Confirming the incident, the Director of the Fire service, Dr. Razak Fadipe, said efforts were on to put out the fire as two fire trucks from Isolo and Ikotun branches of the Lagos State Fire Service were seen at the scene extinguishing the fire.

The corpses of the trio were also said to have been evacuated from the scene by the police officials from the Ejigbo Police Division.
