US Ebola Patient In ‘Critical Condition’, Texas Hospital Says

Must read

The Ebola patient in Dallas is in critical condition, says the hospital that has been treating him, Newser reports.

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, where Thomas Eric Duncan is being treated, didn’t provide any further details about his condition.

The hospital previously said Duncan was being kept in isolation and that his condition was serious but stable.

Duncan traveled from disease-ravaged Liberia to Dallas in September before he began showing symptoms of the deadly disease which has killed over 3,400 since it first appeared in Guinea in December 2014. On September 30, US authorities confirmed that he had the deadly virus.

Duncan’s home country says he lied on his airport forms and would be prosecuting him when he returns to Liberia. Liberian president Ellen expressed sadness over Duncan’s travel to the US with the virus.

Earlier today, it became clear that a Washington, DC patient whose symptoms caused concern does not have Ebola.
