ISTANBUL, Turkey — The heavily pregnant girlfriend of Nigerian football star Victor Osimhen has escaped injury in a three-vehicle road accident in Istanbul.
Stefanie Kim Ladewig, 26, was eight months pregnant when the collision occurred in the city’s Eyüpsultan district.
She underwent medical examinations at a private hospital and was discharged after doctors confirmed that she was in good condition, according to Turkish media reports.
The accident occurred at approximately 3:10 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, in the Mithatpaşa neighbourhood of Kemerburgaz.
According to Turkey’s Demirören News Agency (DHA), Ladewig was driving a sport utility vehicle when she approached a bend and collided with the rear of a light commercial vehicle.
The impact reportedly caused her to lose control of her SUV, which subsequently struck another SUV travelling in the opposite direction.
The collision involved two SUVs and a light commercial vehicle.
All three vehicles sustained damage, but no injuries were reported.
Turkish media published photographs showing the damaged vehicles at the scene as police officers examined the circumstances of the accident.
Authorities have not announced whether any driver will face charges.
Ladewig Discharged After Hospital Examination
Following the collision, Ladewig visited a private hospital in Maslak, in Istanbul’s Sarıyer district, for precautionary medical examinations.
The tests were considered necessary because she was in the eighth month of her pregnancy.
Doctors reportedly found no injuries requiring further hospital treatment.
She was subsequently discharged in good condition, according to Türkiye Today, which cited the Turkish news agency.
There were no reports of injuries to the occupants of the other vehicles.
Neither Ladewig nor Osimhen had issued a public statement about the incident in the reports reviewed.
Osimhen’s Family Life in Turkey
Ladewig, a German-born model from Berlin, has been in a long-term relationship with Osimhen, the Nigerian international striker who plays for Turkish club Galatasaray.
The couple have a daughter, Hailey True, born in October 2022.
Ladewig has maintained a public presence through social media, sharing content related to fashion, beauty, and family life.
Osimhen, 27, is one of Nigeria’s leading footballers and a key member of the Super Eagles.
The striker has been based in Istanbul since joining Galatasaray, where he has established himself as an important member of the club’s attacking line-up.
The accident attracted considerable attention in both Turkey and Nigeria because of Osimhen’s popularity.
Initial reports in the Turkish media confirmed that Ladewig had escaped injury despite the damage to the vehicles.
