A video (watch above) posted by Sahara Reporters has emerged showing the moment some Nigerian journalists tasked Zimbabwean president, Robert Mugabe on his seemingly endless reign over the southern African Nation.
“You came here to witness democracy” , the journalists ask, “is there democracy in Zimbabwe?”
In spite all efforts of Mr. Mugabe’s security men to stop them, the journalists did not back down . When he did answer the president mumbled something about elections coming soon but he was clearly embarrassed.
And rightly so, it seems rather hypocritical for Mr. Mugabe to come to Nigeria to witness our own democratic handover while he has remained in power in his home country for over 20 years.
