Many of us in Nigeria woke up to the news of a tragic bomb blast in Abuja today April 14, 2014.
Seventy-one people have been confirmed dead while 124 are wounded and receiving treatment in 8 hospitals in Abuja following the blast which went off in the busy Nyanya bus park.
The photo below is so graphic, we left it out of the previous story but we thought we have a responsibility to draw the attention of authorities to the fact that even if terrorists don’t respect lives, our security agencies should have more respect for the dead.
Why dump human beings like yams in pickup trucks? No body bags, nothing! Exposing this gory and shocking sight to passers-by to take photos.
These are the kinds of images that reduce Nigeria’s image in the international community. Is this how they drove the bodies of the dead through the streets of Abuja with bloody body parts dangling from a pick up truck, leaving a bloody trail on the road?
This is inhumane and insensitive. These are people, human beings, with stories, with families.
We can do better!
