Fresh pandemonium had broken out in Potiskum area of Yobe state when a bomb allegedly exploded at the Government Secondary School School in the early hours of today, November 10, 2014, killing 47 students.
It was learnt that the incident took place while the students were having their morning assembly.
Speculations by some sources have it that the bomb had been planted by one of the students at the assembly ground in the all male school leaving no fewer than 47 students dead and 79 injured.
Parents and guardians are currently trying to recover their wards from the Potiskum General Hospital while the bodies of the dead victims were also deposited at the hospital.
Meanwhile, force Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Ojukwu, confirmed the blast at Government Secondary School, Potiskum.

An anonymous resident of Potiskum who confirmed the incident from the hospital said, “I am currently at the hospital; many dead bodies have been deposited.”
This is coming exactly one week after a suicide bomber attacked some Muslims during a Shiite procession in the same area leaving scores dead.
