A 51-year-old man has been arrested on a charge of murder after he allegedly murdered his son because he cried too much.
Officers from the New York Police Department said the man identified as Jose Feliciano of the Bronx, was arrested after he and Danielle Whyte, 31, who is a public school teacher, buried their 2-month-old son in a wooded area.
Feliciano was charged with one count of second-degree murder. Whyte has not been charged after claiming that Feliciano threatened to kill her if she called the police.
investigation revealed that the man was infuriated after the baby cried inside the apartment , so he reportedly suffocated him in his room.
The dead baby’s mother poured water on his face in her bid to resuscitate him, but her efforts proved abortive.
Feliciano put the baby in a plastic bag and put the bag in a larger bag. Feliciano left the apartment with the bag around 11:00 p.m, WWWN reports.
He put the bag in a car and left with the mother of the child.
Feliciano buried the body in Dover, in a wooded area with the help of the mother. On Thursday, December 17, 2015 the mother ingested pills in an apparent suicide attempt.
She was taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital, and she was then transferred White Plains for a psychiatric evaluation.
The woman told a doctor about the incident and he alerted the attention of the police who further arrested the father.
