Probably nobody has ever been to hell and returned but from the common knowledge it’s not the ideal place a human being created in God’s image and likeness would like to spend eternity. No mind has ever conceptualized the woe in hell; it’s a suffering that goes beyond one’s ability to comprehend. Hell is undoubtedly as real as heaven is, but God did no destine any of His beloved creation for hell, it’s meant for the devil and his demons. There are a number of facts and opinions about hell, but the three things every Christian should know about hell are:
1. Hell is meant for sinners
Not everyone is destined for hell just as not everyone is destined for heaven; many are called but just a few are chosen. Only sinners will end up in hell. God gave man a free will, and put a natural in man’s heart so that man is at liberty to sin or to be righteous. If one chooses to sin he chooses hell, if one opts for righteousness he chooses everlasting life. It’s God’s will that man chooses to spend eternity with Him in heaven but His hands remains tied concerning the choice because man has the liberty to decide. Mathew 25: says ‘’ Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
2. There’s an everlasting destruction in hell
Once one gets to hell there’s only one option; to spend eternity in agony and anguish. Some versions of the bible describe hell as a place of everlasting agony and anguish with grinding of teeth. Others refer to it as a place burning with fire and brimstone.
3. One can avoid hell by accepting Jesus Christ
Jesus came so that man may not perish but instead so that they earn an everlasting life. Through Jesus, man can be saved from the fiery fires of hell and restored into atonement with God. by accepting Christ into your life, you are shun evil and get into harmony with God and your soul is restored from the anguish at the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
