5 Great Ways To Celebrate New Years Eve If You’re Single

Must read

1. Travel

Hop on a plane and wake up on a sunny beach…or hop in the car with a few friends for a mini hour long road trip. Ring in the new year in a different city or country will definitely start 2014 off right! Who doesn’t want to end the year and start the new year on vacation? So what are you waiting for…pack those bags!

2. Have A Slumber Party

Yes, a slumber party. Grab your girls, find those sleeping bags, and head over to a girlfriends house. Movies, junk food, and girl talk. Just like high school except you won’t have to sneak that airplane sized Malibu from your parent’s liquor cabinet! As we all graduate, it gets harder to meet up with all your friends. So take advantage of the holiday season! What’s better than ringing in the new year with your besties?

3. Go Out

Grab that sparkly dress and get ready to pop those champagne bottles. If you want to go out, then go out! Yeah some people might say it’s overrated, but I say do whatever you want! Get all dressed up (or down) and head out with friends! Sure New Year’s Eve is on a Tuesday this year, but I know you CC readers can turn every night into a Saturday night! And the best part about being single and out for new years eve? You can kiss whoever you want…especially that yummy Jamie Dornan look-a-like over there!

4. Stay In

Do me one favor this New Year’s Eve: don’t go out if you don’t want to. If you don’t want to do something, chances are you won’t enjoy it. And you don’t want to spend the last night of the year thinking about what you’d rather be doing. If a lovely new years eve includes cuddling on the couch with your best friend and Netflix, then more power to ya!

5. Spend Time With Family

Spending time with your family and close friends is always a win. The holidays are about spending time with your loved ones so why not just pop some bottles with the cousins? Chances are we spent most of our new years eve’s with our family when we were young, and from what can remember it was pretty fun! Ringing in the new year with the ones closest to your heart (inner cheeseball coming out…) is what it’s all about. I’m actually spending this New Year’s Eve with my family and I’m absolutely ecstatic about it!
