Are you mourning the weekend already, Lovelies? Well, it’s not over yet! If you’re looking for something to do today, here are a few ways to make the most of your last day of freedom before the week starts.
1. Brunch, brunch, brunch.
This one is pretty much a given. Make some reservations to meet up with some friends, or host a fun little get-together at your place and put that waffle iron to some good use! Or you can always make these amazing rainbow pancakes.
2. Take a bike ride.
While many of us probably don’t really think of exercising as a fun way to spend the day, but grabbing your bike and meeting your friends for some much-needed patio time is a good way to sneak some cardio into your weekend.
3. Pick out a face mask and pamper your skin for the week.
If you’re facing a stressful week ahead of you, why not head to the store and pick up a face mask and spend the day preparing your skin? Pick up a magazine, a giant bottle of water and a face mask for a day of pampering and hydrating.
4. Tackle that DIY that’s been on your to-do list forever.
Remember that DIY that you bookmarked a long time ago? Getting really creative before the beginning of the week is a great way to keep your spirits up, and who knows — it could keep you inspired until next weekend! I keep meaning to try this Blow Box Party Lights DIY…
5. Pick out a new album and zone out.
Spotify makes it super easy to stay up-to-date on new music — ask a few friends if they’ve been listening to anything great lately and build a playlist of songs you’ve never heard. You could find your new favorite artist!
6. Watch a makeup tutorial video and get inspired.
If you’re not planning on going anywhere today, why not watch a makeup tutorial video and practice that cat eye that you’ve been meaning to try and master? Or if you’re wanting to try a new summer makeup trend, searchYouTube and find a helpful video!
7. Run to the store and grab a new summery nail lacquer.
I can’t take my eyes off of Essie’s new Summer 2013 collection; every shade is so pretty! Add fun pops of color to your fingers and toes to keep those spirits high during the week. Oh, and if you’re wondering what shade I’ll be picking, it’s definitely Essie’s Sunday Funday. (So appropriate!)
8. Schedule some time with a friend.
If school/work has been straining some of your relationships, make some time to catch up. Even if it’s just an hour, making time for friends is so important.
9. Plan out a really fun outfit for Monday.
One of the worst things about Monday mornings is definitely the drag; it’s hard to wake up earlier, especially when you’ve been sleeping in all weekend. If you’re usually slow to get up on Monday mornings, go ahead and plan out your outfit the night before. Add a fun accessory or bright flats to keep some pep in your step on an otherwise gloomy day. A day full of compliments on your outfit sounds like a great Monday, indeed.
How are you planning on spending your Sunday, Lovelies?
