The self-proclaimed Omo Baba Olowo, Davido has become the first Nigerian music artiste to gain 1 million followers on online mobile photo and video-sharing social network, Instagram.
The 22-year-old has thanked his fans for helping him achieve the feat which is a proof to his popularity. He wrote:
You will recall that another young artiste, Wizkid reached a similar milestone on microblogging site, Twitter.
The 25-year-old was the first Nigerian artiste to gain a million followers on Twitter.
