Police Round Up Baby Factory Syndicate In Imo

Men of the Nigerian Police Force on Friday June 26, 2015 arrested four suspects running a baby factory and one human trafficker.

Speaking to newsmen, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Austin Evbakharbokun, said the arrest was carried out following a report that a certain Miss Ibuchi Okafor, from Ihioma in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State whose pregnancy was due for delivery, absconded from her home and later returned without a baby.

According to report from Vanguard, Miss Okafor delivered of a baby boy at the home of Mr Emmanuel Eke of Mbutu in Isiala Ngwa South local government area of Abia. It was reported that Mr. Eke sold the baby to an unknown buyer.

Meanwhile, the commissioner of police said investigations are on-going and the suspects would be charged to court.
