Balogun Of Ibadanland, Omiyale Dies At 91

The Balogun of Ibadanland, Chief Sulaimon Adegboyega Alao Omiyale, has died at the age of 91.

The monarch died in the evening of Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

Omiyale, was the second in command to the Olubadan of Ibadan and became the Mogaji in 1967.

He was buried at the Ope Agbe Palace, Omiyale house, Oja’ba, Ibadan, same day after a funeral service by the Chief Imam of Ibadan, Sheikh Abdul-Ganiyy Abubakri Agbotomokekere.

The Baale of Olomi in Ibadan, Chief Samuel Layode Oyewale, described Omiyale’s death as a great loss to the family.
