President Muhammadu Buhari, during a meeting with all service chiefs of the federation on Monday, June 22, 2015 commanded that all military checkpoints in the country be scraped with immediate effect.
This was confirmed by Mr Aliyu Ismalia, Permanent Secretary to the Minsitry of Defence in Abuja after President Buhari’s meeting with the service chiefs on Monday, June 22, 2015.
The Perm. Sec. further stated that President Buhari urged the security chiefs to improve their endeavours in other to ensure the annihilation of insurgency in the country because of his leadership and also being a retired General in the military.
