Must read

Thirteen terrorists have been killed and many arrested as the military invaded Boko Haram camps in Borno and Adamawa states on Friday, February 28, 2014, the Defence Headquarters has said.

Statements from the Defence Headquarters reveals that the military invaded make-shift camps of the insurgents located between Borno and Adamawa states.

This number adds to the terrorists arrested in the previous raid. Some of the those who escaped the previous raid have also been arrested in Maiduguri and environs.

The pandemonium that was raised in the morning in Shuwa area of Adamawa state, following a false alarm by the indigenes who mistook a convoy of troops for terrorists, has been calmed.

The troops were on assignment to block a discovered entry and exit point of terrorists into the country through the state.

The panic and confusion led to the claim that the Governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako who had visited the community was attacked by terrorists.

The military authorities have since refuted the claim. The community has been assured of their safety as normalcy has returned.
