Investigation into the death of Tagbo Umeike, friend of hip- pop artist, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, took a different dimension Wednesday, October 11, 2017 following his arrest, upon discovery that his statement was laced with falsehood.
Davido, during investigation, reportedly told investigative team at Lion Building division, Lagos Island, that he was not at Shisha Bar, from where the deceased was rushed and dumped at the Lagos Island General.
Davido in his statement also said that he had left the bar for DNA Night Club in Victoria Island area of the state, where he was informed about Umeke’s death.
Considering an autopsy report, the Police arrested Davido Wednesday, having discovered that the singer was complicit in the death of Tagbo Umeike.
The autopsy report said Tagbo died of suffocation, not intoxication as earlier believed.
