Dino Melaye, the senator representing Kogi West, has been arrested at the Nanamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja.
According to an Instagram post by the controversial senator, he was arrested on his way to Morocco for an official assignment on Monday, April 23, 2019.

“I have just been arrested at the international wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe airport on my way to Morocco for an official engagement sponsored by the Federal Govt after checking in,” Melaye tweeted, also.
The Nigerian police has declared Dino Melaye wanted on a matter related to an assassination attempt on him in his home state of Kogi.
The outspoken lawmaker was declared wanted alongside Mohammed Audu, son of a former governor of Kogi state, Abubakar Audu.
Police said the duo have also been placed on Interpol watch list.
