DUMB: Police Nab Robbers By Following Macaroni Trail (PICTURED)

Police in Mt. Morris, New York, arrested three burglary suspects on Sunday, May 10, 2015 after they suspects left a “steady” trail of macaroni salad they left behind while making their getaway.

Huffington Post reports that the trio broke into a Build-A-Burger Restaurant and stole a cash register, the entire surveillance system and a large bowl of macaroni salad.

Officers, hot on the trail of the bandits said: “Found along the trail were cash register parts, surveillance system parts, rubber gloves, loose change and a steady trail of macaroni salad.

“It was later discovered that the suspects stole a large bowl of macaroni salad, which they took turns eating, along their escape route.”

The trio (pictured below) were later identified as Matthew P. Sapetko, 34, James P. Marullo, 35, and Timothy S. Walker Jr., 23 and have been charged third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree grand larceny.
