Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Sunday, August 4, 2019, stormed the residence of former governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari.
Governor Yari’s house, located in his hometown of Talata Mafara Local Government, was raided by more than a dozen EFCC personnel who drove to the house in a convoy of vehicles.
The search was said to have lasted several hours, just as it was not clear whether Governor Yari was around or not when they raided his residence.
However, Yari’s media aide, Alhaji Ibrahim Dosara, who confirmed the presence of the anti-graft agency’s operatives in the residence of his boss, did not give further details on the matter.
